And then there was one... New Hampshire's
same-sex marriage law will start in January 2010. This means that only one New England state that doesn't allow same-sex marriage: Rhode Island. If (or when) RI does allow same-sex marriage, then this historically (and politically) important region of the country will be the only region in which same-sex marriage is legal. (True, Iowa allows same-sex marriages, too, but Iowa doesn't the entire Midwest make.)
